Festivals, some people love them, other's not so much. I'm one of those people who will never say no to a good party, so I usually do attend a good few festivals during the spring and summer. Of course, I go for the music and atmosphere, but I also love the fashion. There is something about that festival style that intrigues me. It's a time to dress up, but in a relaxed, cool way. But, there is a catch. If you're going for a whole weekend, then you have to cram all of those cute outfits into one bag. It's a challenge, but if you pack smart, you can wear a different outfit every day, while re-using some pieces for every outfit. So, I thought it would be fun to put together a lil' list of things that I would bring to a festival.
One thing that I am definitely going to wear this year is a two piece. If you have a colourful two piece, you can wear the two pieces together, but you can also pair the top with denim shorts and the shorts with a more neutral top. Boom! You've got yourself 3 outfit options.
Now if you were planning on bringing the denim shorts, you might as well bring a light crop top to wear with them as well. Crop tops are great, because they barely take up any space and you can wear them with a lot of different things.
To re-use the crop top, you can bring a pair of dungaree shorts. Just wear them with the top underneath, some sneakers, a fedora if you feel like it and you're good to go!
If it's really hot and you're feeling a bit daring, you can also just wear a fun patterned bandeau bikini top underneath the dungaree shorts. It will keep you cool and bonus: it doesn't matter if your top gets wet!
When you want to look cute, but you don't feel like planning an outfit, you can just bring a playsuit. It's honestly the easiest thing you can wear. Maybe bring a denim jacket in your rucksack in case it gets cold and you're ready to party!
The last thing I would bring, or even wear to a festival is a pair of ripped jeans. It can get quite chilly at night, so it's always good to be able to dress a bit warmer. If you wear them to the festival, they won't even take up any space in your bag. Just wear them with a crop top (or top of your two piece!) and your jacket over top. It will save a lot of space in your bag and you can still bring everything that you need/want to bring.
What do you bring to a festival?
