DIY 'HEARTS' CARD

February 05, 2013

Today I thought I would show you another DIY for Valentine's day. This 'hearts' card would be perfect for that special someone who likes to play games. I used cardboard so that your Valentine can keep the card in his/her room and maybe set it on their bedside table. :) I love doing these DIY's so I hope you enjoy it!

What you need:

1. Paper cutter, 2. Scissors, 3. Rubber, 4. Ruler, 5. Pencil, 6. Glue, 7. Cardboard (you can use the back of a notepad!), 8. White paper, 9. Red paper, 10. Heart stencil, 11. Envelope

Start by taking your cardboard, pencil and ruler. Mark the measurements: 16x4 cm.

Now take your paper cutter (or scissors) and cut out the piece you marked.

This is what your piece will look like. You can  put it aside for now.

Take your white paper, pencil and ruler and mark the same measurements as the cardboard, twice.

Cut out the two marked pieces with your paper cutter (or scissors)

You will end up with two pieces of white paper like this. You can rub out the pencil marks if there are any on the paper.

Take your glue, piece of cardboard and two pieces of white paper. Glue a piece of white paper on either side of the piece of cardboard.

The piece should look like this. You can set it aside for now.

Now on to the hearts part of the card. Take your red paper and place the heart stencil in the corner and mark it with your pencil. Repeat this 3 more times.

Take your scissors and cut out the hearts.

Your hearts should look like this.

Now lay the hearts out on the card and glue them on.

Flip the card and write your Valentine's message on it..

And your done! Just maybe spray some perfume on it, put it in the envelope and your all set for Valentine's day. :)

Have you done any Valentine's card DIY's? If you don't, where do you like to buy your Valentine's cards?
